There will be two or three quarterbacks in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft who could become legitimate franchise cornerstones, and one of them is Shedeur Sanders of the University of Colorado Boulder.

Through 10 games, he has thrown for 3,222 yards and 27 touchdowns while completing 72.9 percent of his pass attempts, and he has led the Buffaloes to an 8-2 record.

Several teams are positioned to have high draft picks and are desperately seeking to select a franchise quarterback.

However, one analyst warns that the team that drafts Sanders will have to contend with his father continually criticizing his development, as reported by GoJo and Golic.

Sanders’ father is Deion Sanders, the colorful Hall of Fame NFL defensive back who is currently the head coach at the University of Colorado Boulder.

There have been rumors that the elder Sanders will want to join the NFL as a head coach next season, but he has insisted he is happy with the Buffaloes.

As that analyst noted, Caleb Williams’s father, the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft, has voiced his opinions about how his son has been handled, especially as the younger Williams has struggled at times with the 4-6 Chicago Bears.

The elder Sanders has always been infamous for being outspoken and ruffling people’s feathers, and certain NFL franchises may not want to deal with this.

On the other hand, a couple of teams may be so desperate for a true star quarterback that they may be willing to overlook his influence and still take his son without any reservations.
