Daniel Jones wasn’t what most scouts would consider an NFL prospect in high school.

He didn’t attend a blue-collar football program, joining Duke as a walk-on quarterback.

His college play didn’t necessarily scream “NFL starter,” either, which is why, at the time, plenty of people questioned the New York Giants’ decision to take him at No. 6.

The years went by, and Jones never truly showed he had what it took to be a star.

Even his so-called breakout year working with a quarterback’s whisperer like Brian Daboll was rather modest, yet the Giants kept doubling down on him.

It reached a point in which they even let their best player go to pay him.

That’s why Rob Parker doesn’t think he deserves another chance.

Talking on FOX Sports Radio, the renowned analyst claimed that, as much as Jones might still have a role in the league as a backup, a third-stringer, or a quarterbacks coach, he’s by no means deserving of another opportunity as a starter.

The Giants had to bite the bullet and end this experiment.

GM Joe Schoen has to be held accountable for his unwavering faith in an injury-prone and perennially underperforming player who never looked the part.

Even so, it’s never too late to straighten the course of the ship.

As for Jones, he can still have a spot in the league as a veteran backup, but not much more.
