The Minnesota Timberwolves might be battling an identity crisis.

Last season, they were seen as one of the most exciting young teams in the NBA.

This year, they are struggling in ways they weren’t just months ago.

They recently fell to the Toronto Raptors, a moment Anthony Edwards called a low point of the season.

On ESPN, Kendrick Perkins called the Timberwolves a “play-in team” that clearly isn’t communicating well.

He pointed to a moment in the last game when tensions ran high between Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert.

They obviously had different plans about what should be happening on the court, and it showed in an intense conversation during the game.

Things are not going smoothly right now, and Minnesota has gone 2-4 over the last six games after a 6-3 start to the season.

During the offseason, fans thought this would be the year the Timberwolves would go even further in the playoffs.

In fact, many people predicted they could reach the Finals this year after the postseason run they had in 2023-24.

And while that is still possible, they are going through a rough patch that needs to be addressed.

After their disappointing loss to the Raptors, the Timberwolves now have to face the Boston Celtics, which will be very difficult.

Following. that, it’s the Houston Rockets, the Sacramento Kings, and the Los Angeles Clippers over the next week.

Perhaps they can work out their problems over that time, or the issues could continue to pop up in the months ahead.
