New Attachment Makes Meta Black Ops 6 and Warzone Weapon More Lethal But That Isn’t Necessarily a Good Thing

Black Ops 6 and Warzone gained a ton of new content with the Season 1 update, including the first event, Hit List, which offered players a ton of thrilling rewards. The Buffer Weight Stock, an attachment that has garnered a lot of attention due to its remarkable usefulness, is one notable reward.

Following its release, many players have already identified it as a meta-defining choice, particularly in Warzone, where having control over long-range recoil is crucial. However, there is one bad side of this weapon build as well.

Since its integration in Season 1, the XM4 has been the preferred assault rifle in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Whether navigating the narrow lanes of multiplayer or the expansive open areas of Urzikstan, its adaptability and effortless recoil have made it a formidable opponent.

The Buffer Weight Stock, which was given to every player after the community reached the 8 billion kill milestone in the Hit List event, has now improved it even further.

At the expense of some ADS and movement speed, this new stock provides significant improvements to both horizontal and vertical recoil control. It works well on the XM4, but it can also be used on the XMG LMG and DM-10 Marksman Rifle.

Depending on which of the three weapons you use it on, this particular attachment offers slightly different benefits even though it significantly improves accuracy. The Buffer Weight Stock greatly improves the XM4 and XMG’s ability to control recoil both vertically and horizontally. In comparison to the DM10, the Stock also improves aim walking steadiness, stabilizes aim idle sway, and increases vertical and horizontal recoil control.

The XM4+Buffer Weight Stock is Breaking the Game

XM4 was already a very reliable weapon in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. However, after the arrival of the Buffer Weight Stock, it’s now in everyone’s hands. Now the problem is that those who were not comfortable using this assault rifle are now forced to equip it as the whole Call of Duty community is using this meta combo. There are other effective assault rifles in the game as well, but why use those anymore?

The new stock reduces the ADS speed by 23% and aim walk moving speed by 13%. That means using this weapon build is surely going to slow down the tempo of your gameplay. But who cares? Everyone is using it right now, which is causing a substantial depletion of the game’s pace.

Also, just like any other meta, this XM4+Buffer Wight Stock is now overused, and the whole gameplay is now revolving around this combo. As this stock has made the XM4 godly stable, players are now using it in long-range fights as well. That means the Sniper Class is going to get decimated soon if Treyarch doesn’t nerf this in the near future.
