Irish professional mixed martial artist, professional boxer, businessman, and actor Conor McGregor has stepped into the ring a lot of times, coming out victorious at some and failing disappointingly at others. Throughout all the wins and losses and controversies along the way, he has had his fiancée Dee Devlin right by his side, supporting him and helping him get back on track.
But while those ring fights have seen him standing back up and coming back stronger, he recently seems to have lost a major battle as the jury convicted him guilty in Nikita Hand’s r*pe lawsuit. Conor McGregor’s Conviction in R*pe Lawsuit Left Dee Devlin in Tears
Back in March 2019, The New York Times reported the Irish professional mixed martial artist of being under investigation after he was alleged of a s*xual assault on a woman named Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. McGregor, in his defense, told the court previously that what he had was consensual s*x with Hand, 35, in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel.
After years of slow proceedings in this case, the highlights saw Hand taking a civil action against the 36-year-old over allegations of him violently beating and r*ping her in the hotel (per The Independent). The trial for the same in the Dublin High Court recently had the jury finding him guilty and ordering him to pay €248,603 (around $259001) in damages to Hand (via Associated Press).
For one who was confident to come out clean and was awaiting justice to prevail in his favor, this most certainly came as a blow to the professional boxer, who was reportedly seen shaking his dead at the jury’s verdict (see The Sun). But the most heartbreaking part was his partner Dee Devlin’s reaction as she was seen tearful and visibly sad while leaving the court with McGregor.
What makes this situation all the more tragic for Devlin is the fact that not only is she his fiancée and the mother of his four kids, but she has been with McGregor even before he was such a big name. Despite the public humiliation she must have had to face because of all the controversies he has been in, the 37-year-old still stuck right by his side throughout it all.
That said, at this point, even fans can’t help but extend their heartfelt sympathy to Conor McGregor‘s fiancée, who has proven to be one of his strongest supporting pillars to date despite all the hurt she has been met with.

Over the years, Conor McGregor has been a part of more than enough controversies, including his numerous driving offenses, the infamous incident at Bellator 187, the reported bus attack at UFC 223 Media Day, his robbery arrest in Florida, and the Dublin pub assault, among multiple others, for one to count. And yet, his loving fiancée endured and didn’t leave his side.
That said, his recent conviction in Nikita Hand’s r*pe case seems to land the final nail in the coffin for fans, who are heartbroken at just how much Dee Devlin has had to suffer at the expense of loving her fiancé. All of this being said, Conor McGregor’s conviction has unarguably not only damaged his reputation but also taken a toll on his fiancée and the mother of his four children, Dee Devlin, who has stood by him through thick and thin. That said, fans rallying around for Devlin, offering her support and sympathy as she navigates this difficult time is only understandable.
