Saquon Barkley was the lone bright spot in the New York Giants’ offense for years.

Despite their perennial struggles, having him on the field always gave them a chance to do something special on offense.

He was a fan favorite and repeatedly talked about his desire to be a Giant for life.

However, GM Joe Schoen had a different vision.

He didn’t value him enough, constantly low-balled him, and chose Daniel Jones over him.

Fast-forward to today and Jones isn’t even on the team anymore, all while Barkley has piled up more rushing yards than the Giants as a whole.

With that in mind, legendary defender J.J. Watt took to X to share his thoughts on Barkley’s play, stating that having him play behind the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive line was a “cheat code.”

Even without Jason Kelce, the Eagles continue to have one of the absolute best offensive lines.

He’s now on pace to break the single-season record for the most rushing yards in a season, and he should be No. 1 or 2 in the MVP ballot.

Barkley and the Eagles were a match made in heaven.

Barring injury, he could go down as one of the greatest free-agent signings in team history.

As for the Giants, well, there’s always next year.
