First introduced in 2012 with the release of the iconic The Avengers, Leviathans were this giant cybernetically augmented creatures that were a part of the Chitauri army.
Introduced by Tom Hiddleston’s Loki during the Battle of New York, the leviathans made a second appearance during Avengers: Endgame during the final fight.
With the battle against Thanos raging in full force, the Avengers fought valiantly against the Mad Titan. From Captain America lifting Thor’s hammer to Thor proving Iron Man with his lightning powers, the scenes were plenty and the runtime was limited.
According to a fan on Instagram, a recently released concept art showcased an iconic teaming-up scene between the Hulk and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Although the scene was never shot or turned into live-action, it seems that the MCU might have made a mistake in not showing the scene.
Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther Could Have Taken Down a Leviathan!
According to the reel, the concept art of a scene from Avengers: Endgame featured a clip where Hulk and Black Panther team up. Fans may remember that Black Panther’s suit has the ability to change energy from one form to another.
The reel featured concept art wherein Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa urges Hulk to hit him. When Hulk hits him, his suit is charged with energy and he goes on to take down an entire Leviathan all by himself!
Unfortunately for millions of fans and the world, that scene never made it onto the big screens. The reel also mentioned several other teaming-up scenes like Captain America and Star-Lord while Thor’s lighting was supposed to be black and white and not blue like in the movie.
Well, it seems that we were meant to see this version of Avengers: Endgame. The 2019 film received a rating of 8.4/10 on IMDb and a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. The iconic Chadwick Boseman starrer film is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
