‘Not the right decision’ – Drew Harris admits standing down unit before Coolock riots was wrong

Garda Commissioner ‘very anxious’ to obtain RTÉ footage of events at Dublin site

Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has said prosecutions may result from footage obtained by RTÉ Investigates of the Coolock anti-immigration riots in July, and broadcast on Thursday night.

He also admitted that the decision to stand down Garda National Public Order Unit at 7am before disturbances took place was wrong.
