How To Level Up Fast In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 offers a lot of challenging gameplay across its three game modes. In Operations and Eternal War, upgrading weapons, unlocking perks, and making characters as strong as possible is important. To do this, players need to level up.

As with most games, leveling up can be a time-consuming task. Space Marine 2 has six classes, each with their own skill tree. The skill tree is where levels are acquired and spent to unlock new perks and customization options. Plus, each weapon has its own levels and experience points that are used to upgrade to the next tier and unlock new perks and skins. Fortunately, there are a few ways to speed up the leveling process.

Decapitation is the easiest Operations mode. It has simple objectives and missions and is less time-consuming than the rest. In fact, it’s usually around a 20-minute game to complete Decapitation. This translates into around three levels per hour if you play without breaks.

Another way to quickly gain levels is to play on higher difficulty settings. Of course, if you’re new to the game, starting out tackling higher difficulty levels is not recommended. Instead, play through the easier settings and complete missions as quickly as possible to gain some experience and get comfortable with the controls and game.

Make sure to play on a balanced team and pick the class that suits your play style.

Once you’re comfortable, move up to Average, then to Substantial and Ruthless. The latter two difficulty modes will give the most XP but will be quite challenging and time-consuming to complete. However, with the right strategy and good teamwork, you can overcome the toughest enemies, and the extra effort will be worth it when you bring in all that XP.

A good rule of thumb is to play these levels when you’re at the recommended level range. For the easiest level, Minimal, the recommended player level is 1-5. Average is 5-10, Substantial is 10-15, and Ruthless is 15+. If you fall between these levels, you’ll be fine.

How To Farm XP Quickly And Effectively In Operations

Farm Quickly By Doing Quick Match And Focusing On Missions

Changing classes is helpful in Space Marine 2, not just in farming XP for each class, but also in making sure that you’re a team player. If you have a favorite class that you want to grind, that’s okay, too, but you need to be prepared to fight for your favorite class if another player also wants it. In addition to changing classes, changing weapons can help balance a team. However, for the purpose of farming XP, you’ll want to stick to a weapon you’re comfortable with and max it out completely before switching.

When diving into Operations, opt for Quick Match. Quick Match will put you into someone else’s mission, and you’ll work together to complete whatever mission is selected. Just make sure to choose the right difficulty settings. If you find a good team, stick around with them for as long as you can. Also, when playing Operations, be on the lookout for Gene-Seeds. Holding onto these until the end of the mission will grant extra XP.

You don’t have to stick to just Operations. Go ahead and jump into a PVP Capture and Control game for another way to earn some XP.

While it’s tempting to kill every enemy you see in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, it won’t farm you as much XP as focusing on the objectives will. So, don’t lose sight of the Objectives of each mission. With each level gained, make sure you’re unlocking and upgrading perks and weapons. Upgrading will make you stronger, thus making it easier to complete missions and gain XP.
