Beckylee Plots to Eliminate a Rival [Exclusive Clip]

Beckylee is hatching a plot to take out one of her rivals on The Summit. In this exclusive clip from the Nov. 20 episode of the CBS competition reality series, the construction manager from San Diego gleefully considers who she wants to target for elimination.

“Now I can start axing people in my own alliance off,” she says. “This is where, I think, we get the fun started.”

Just seven players remain on ‘The Summit’

After the group voted to send self-described “Korean cockroach” Dennis home last week, just seven of the original 16 players remain: Beckylee, Punkin, Jeannie, Dusty, Nick, Therron, and Amy. And with only a few days left in their 14-day trek to the summit, the competition is only getting tougher the closer they get to the mountain’s peak.

In “Necessary Evils,” the trekkers will confront an icy glacier they must traverse. The Mountain’s Keeper delivers the gear they need to make it across, but there’s a twist: There’s only enough equipment for six people. The first person to touch the Keeper’s bag will have the sole power to eliminate a fellow player, along with their money, on the spot. The remaining players will then face an arduous ascent with ice axes up a glacial cliff, testing their strength.

Beckylee sees Dusty as a threat

In a scene from the upcoming episode, Beckylee confers with Nick about her strategy for the next elimination

“If there is an obstacle with an elimination, do we take the shot at Dusty then?” she asks. “Or do we wait and do Amy first?” (Amy was up for elimination last week, but only Dennis voted for her to go home.)

“Doesn’t matter,” he replies. “They both feel good. It shouldn’t matter.”

Dusty’s a strong player, and Beckylee sees him as a threat. Until now, she’s been hoping he might be sent home after failing a challenge. But that hasn’t happened, so she needs to take matters into her own hands.

“Dusty is a worry for me,” Beckylee tells a producer. “And I’ve been trying to, like, sow some doubt into people’s minds about him. I would really like to see Dusty go out as soon as possible. There’s so many twists and turns the Mountain’s Keeper can throw at you. And so I thought, maybe that would eventually get him out. But not yet.”

Can Beckylee trust Nick to turn on Dusty?

Beckylee thinks she can count on Nick to gang up with her and take Dusty out. But she’s taking a risk. He says he’s on board, but things can always change. In last week’s episode, Dennis thought he had an alliance that would keep him safe. However, when it came time to vote, everyone turned on him.

“Nick is on my side … but I’m also worried about his alliance with Dusty,” Beckylee says.  So I was trying to feel him out this morning to see if he would ever turn on his friendship with Dusty.”

The Summit airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Episodes also stream on Paramount+.
