After Kansas Chiefs star Travis Kelce confirmed that he and model Kayla Nicole ended their five-year relationship, Nicole’s name was thrust back into the headlines when her ex started dating the most famous pop singer in the world.
Since Nicole hasn’t been able to escape the shadow of her past with Kelce, she was asked about him following the news that his home was burglarized and her reaction has people talking and taking sides. How Nicole reacted when she was asked about the burglary at Kelce’s house
In October 2024, Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas was burglarized while he played in a game against the New Orleans Saints. The thieves made off with $100,000 worth of jewelry, his first Super Bowl jersey, and $20,000 in cash.
On Nov. 16, a paparazzo wanted to hear what Nicole had to say about that as she left a restaurant with friends. The photographer asked: “What are your thoughts on Travis Kelce’s home being burglarized?”
In a video posted on X, Nicole didn’t say anything but after a moment, began smiling and laughing. The paps pounced on that reaction and started pressing “Are you just gonna laugh at it?” as the social media influencer hopped into a waiting car.
“Why is she laughing? She’s so cringe,” one fan commented, while another said: “She needs a PR manager because she should have just kept her face blank and kept it moving. Smiling and laughing about it just shows people what type of person she is.”
But some were confused by why the paparazzi even asked her the question writing: “Why would she be asked? She’s an ex of almost 3 years!”
And a fourth person came to Nicole’s defense saying: “She’s not laughing at it being burglarized; she’s laughing at the ridiculousness of the question.”
Nicole hinted that Swift is the reason she no longer talks to her ex and her old friends
Nicole has opened up about Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift and how it has affected her life.
When she was a guest on Angel Reese’s podcast Unapologetically Angel recently, she explained that she has been cyberbullied continuously by some of Swift’s fans.
Nicole admitted, “I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and online chaos didn’t impact me, even to this day. You could go to my most recent posts and people would be debating why I am worthless.”
She also claimed that the “Anti-Hero” artist is the reason she no longer talks to Kelce or any of the women dating and married to Chiefs players, including Brittany Mahomes even though she served as a bridesmaid in her and Patrick’s wedding, saying: “We don’t talk anymore … and that’s not really my choice.”
