(Adnkronos) – “The initiative of the ‘Sustainable Intermodality Logistics Association’, as part of the second edition of the Let Expo fair, calls for reflection on the close relationship between transport and economic development, without neglecting the role of logistics in the protection of natural resources. The transport and logistics sector is an essential element in growth and an indicator of the quality of life”. This was declared by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in the message sent to Alis and to the president Guido Grimaldi, at the opening of LetExpo, the reference event for the logistics, transport and intermodal sector organized by Alis at VeronaFiere.
“Mobility – underlines Mattarella – is one of the characteristics of global civilization and its sustainability represents a measure of its effectiveness in protecting the ecosystem. Ensuring the development of collective transport of people and separation of traffic volumes with optimization of transport goods, contributes to the improvement of community life and its safety and can significantly reduce the negative impact on human health and the environment”.
