Quissamã – Those who traditionally participate in the Quissamã (RJ) carnival believe that, this Sunday (11), the number of revelers on Avenida Barão de Vila Franca was a record high. The vice-mayor, Marcelo Batista, is one of those who noticed and comments: “Seeing the joy on people’s faces is our greatest reward”.
For this Monday, the expectation is that the “healthy invasion” of the avenue will be even greater, caused by the parade of the traditional Bloco das Piranhas, led by singer Maíza Lima, at the beginning of the night. She herself invites: “Hello, Quissamã; It’s going to be a great show that will go down in history.”
Marcelo Batista highlights that the carnival in Quissamã is carried out with great care and dedication: “We are happy to see that this is reflected in public satisfaction.” The Communication Secretariat (Secom) adds: “The program is full of music, dance and animation for all tastes and ages”.
Secom summarizes the picture of this Sunday night at Barão de Vila Franca: “Under a starry sky and a gentle breeze, revelers gathered for another night of celebration and fun”, noting that the afternoon began with Juliano and Mariano at Barrinha , followed by Igor Saliência in Visgueiro. “At Orla de João Francisco and Casuarinas, the bands Energia Universitária and Catukaí guaranteed fun”.
According to the secretariat, “at night, the Bois Canário, Maranhão and Imperador and the Blocos Galera dos Dragões, Os Brabos and Vem de Boca paraded enchanting the public with colors, music and movement; On the bandstand, Marcinho do Forró got everyone dancing to the sound of authentic forró pé de serra.”
This Monday’s official program will open at 5pm with Bloco das Piranhas, on the avenue. Afterwards, the entertainment will be provided by Banda União Quissamaense (8pm); The Pirates (10pm); and Banda Vibe Mix. The complete schedule can be seen on the city hall portal.
