Macaé – This Thursday (21), the municipal government defined immediate actions to reinforce preventive work against the effects of rain in Macaé. In a meeting called by Mayor Welberth Rezende, the Crisis Management Office outlined cleaning and maintenance strategies for the city’s main drainage systems, aiming to minimize possible impacts.

The mayor emphasized the importance of investments in macro-drainage works, which doubled the rainwater drainage capacity in the city’s most critical areas. Now, the focus is on ensuring the integrated functioning of all systems, demanding maximum attention from the entire government.

Coordinated by the Secretary of Civil Defense, Joseferson de Jesus, the Crisis Management Office involves all government departments, with the aim of providing immediate assistance to the entire population. Given the warning of intense rain in the coming days, the government is prepared to act in risky situations.

The meeting also included the participation of the Regional Superintendent of the State Environmental Institute (INEA), Cliton da Silva Santos, highlighting the integration of efforts between public bodies to deal with climate adversities.
