Ghana international Kudus Mohammed has opened up on the 2022/23 season, saying he is not where he wants to be yet.
The 22-year-old has been in a rich vein of form for the Dutch giants this season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions and providing 4 assists in the process.
Despite his individual accolades, Kudus remains focused on team success and insists that his achievements will only truly count if Ajax wins the Dutch Eredivise and Dutch Cup.
In an interview with Ajax TV, the Black Stars midfielder said there is more to come from him in the ongoing campaign.
“I think compared to previous seasons this has been my best but I’m not where I want to be yet. The goal is to win the cup and the league, and until I achieve that, I haven’t done anything yet. So, there is more coming, more work to be done.” He said.
He is expected to make the Black Stars squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month.
Ghana will play Angola in a doubleheader against Angola as they seek to secure early qualification to the tournament.
