An O’Hara bakery open for less than two years apparently has closed for good.
Periwinkle’s Bakery & Cafe, located at 900 Gamma Drive in the RIDC Industrial Park off Route 28, opened in 2021 in a building that housed a former Max & Erma’s restaurant.
But after ownership struggled with staffing issues, they announced the bakery/cafe was temporarily closing in late 2022.
The shop never reopened. Periwinkle’s Facebook page has since been deleted, and its phone number is no longer in service.
Traffic cones and chains currently block all entrances to the parking lot.
Periwinkle’s owner, Kelly DiNatale, did not respond to a request for comment.
Hanna Commercial Real Estate is advertising the property as a “turnkey” restaurant.
The leasing price is not listed online.
