Shinzo is the top seed to run in the Coolmore slot for The Everest after races like the Golden Rose. If he was to win the Rosehill three-year-old classic it would put him in line for the $5 million golden bonus for any horse that can win the Slipper, Rose and Golden Eagle.
There is also the Coolmore Stud Stakes during the Melbourne Cup carnival and overseas to consider.
“He is a most exciting horse and the most exciting stallion prospect in the world,” Magnier said.
“Ryan Moore said to me after he sat on him on Thursday morning he is very special.
“I don’t think it will be a problem to get Ryan down here to ride him in any race because he was that impressed with him.”
Soft Rosehill questioned
Once again the track was a major talking point at Rosehill on Saturday as jockeys reported the surface was soft after heatwave conditions during the week.
The Australian Turf Club reported that 14mm of irrigation was put on the track for the week, 4mm of that on Friday. It raced like there was more.

The track walked before the first race as soft until you got two to three off the fence and raced like that for the first half of the program with jockeys making the fence a no-go area.
Newmarket trainer William Haggas had been concerned about a flint hard track for the ultra-impressive Ranvet Stakes winner Dubai Honour, but was told it was more like a soft 5 than a good 4.
“I was very much worried about the track,” Haggas said.

“But they assured me the track was on the five side of a good 4 and Chris Waller told me the track was fantastic.
“He’s won on good ground before. He won on good ground at Newmarket but most of his Group form has been on softer ground including the second in the Champion Stakes, We’re lucky, we got away with it today. We’d still like some more rain but delighted with the horse, he’s been really tough.”
James McDonald said after Anamoe’s gutsy George Ryder Stakes win that he was happy to be three-wide the trip.
“He travelled deep throughout, the track has probably helped us on the softer side and they have been coming down the middle,” McDonald said.
It was a track that reminded punters of the surface served up for Addeybb’s second Queen Elizabeth Stakes win.
As it dried out later in the day, the rail became the place to be with Shinzo and Mariamia taking advantage of the fresh turf to win the Golden Slipper and The Galaxy.
Track preparation is an artform but perhaps watering on the day before the meeting should not happen.

Freedmans look for first group 1 with Pavitra
The father-son training partnership of Richard and Will Freedman will look for their first group 1 together when VRC Oaks placegetter Pavitra runs in the Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Kia Ora-owned filly has improved into her autumn campaign and was an easy winner of the Kembla Grange Classic last time out to be the Vinery favourite.
“She didn’t surprise us by winning at Kembla, but the margin did,” Richard Freedman said. “She’s only going to improve as she steps up in trip towards the [Australian] Oaks [at Randwick on April 8] and the 2000m will not be a problem for her.
“She is already group 1-placed it would be fantastic for her to get a win at the top level. She gets a chance to do it on her home track and I’m sure she will be very strong at the end, so it will take a good one to beat her.”
