On Vladimir Putin a very heavy charge is pending: an international arrest warrant has been issued against him by the International Criminal Court in The Hague for war crimes. The tsar, in particular, was challenged deportation of Ukrainian minors since the beginning of the war. The of him, as reconstructed by the judges, would have been a real one criminal projectcomplete with the transfer of children and teenagers, travel on board the military aircraftraids on schools and orphanages, forgery of documents.
The plan would have started in May last year, when Putin signed the decree that streamlines the procedures for recognizing Russian citizenship to Ukrainian minors taken from their families. Investigators coordinated by prosecutor Khan, as reported by the Corriere della Sera, they rebuilt dozens and dozens of flights made by the Russian military to transfer children and young people from the occupied territories of Donbass and get them to Russia.
Moscow’s plan, however, would still be in progress, at least according to the testimonies of parents and the stories of those who managed to return to Ukraine. A woman interviewed during the investigation said she went to pick up her son from school and never found him again: “I was wrong, I shouldn’t have sent him. I found out what had happened when I recognized him in a propaganda video Russian. was desperate, she wouldn’t stop crying”. According to the UN report, there are at least six thousand minors deported, while the Kiev authorities report the disappearance of over 16 thousand children.
