Alongside strength, the fastest players have long been meta in the series, with them able to break clear of the opposition regardless of the other players’ abilities. Since the series moved away from FIFA last year, several tweaks have been made to the gameplay, but the core game will feel familiar to long-time fans of the series.

While the best players to use across EA Sports FC 25 have the best overall ratings, different stars are the fastest in the game. New cards are constantly being brought out for the Ultimate Team mode, but the base stats for each player at the launch of this year’s game stay the same, regardless of which mode you are playing, from the competitive online environment to career mode.

10 Kevin Schade: LW – 94

Minteh is a player I have added to my starter Premier League team. Despite his low overall rating of 74, his pace can cause carnage in defenses. For those who prefer to play career mode, he also has a lot of potential. Most of his other stats, such as shooting and passing, are low, but he is only 20 years old, so there is plenty of time for this to grow after a few seasons.

6 Theo Hernández: LB – 95

The Best Left Back In The Game

AC Milan’s full-back, Theo Hernandez, ticks many boxes in EA Sports FC 25 for a defender. Fantastic physical stats, including 88 strength, 95 jumping, and 95 pace, make him an all-round star. On top of that, he also has stats that make him useful further up the pitch, such as 86 shot power, making it worthwhile having a try for a goal if the space opens up with the Frenchman. He is an excellent prospect for Ultimate Team, being Brazilian and playing for Real Madrid in La Liga, increasing his value. However, his overall 90 rating means he will bring back a few million coins if you want to add him to your club.

2 Karim Adeyemi: LM – 96

Borussia Dortmund wide man Karim Adeyemi comes in at the number two spot on our list. At only 22 years old, he has the potential to become the quickest player in the series in the coming years. His overall rating has dropped one, to 79 for this year’s game, but his standout stat remains pace at 96.

His acceleration and sprint speed stats are also 96, but he lacks in his shooting and passing numbers. Despite this, he is a great player to pick up early on in EA Sports FC 25, and his pace means he can cause lots of problems for opposition defenses.

1 Kylian Mbappé: ST – 97

A number of players in this list rely solely on their pace in EA Sports FC 25. However, the quickest of the lot is also the best overall. Real Madrid’s latest star signing, Kylian Mbappe, is the fastest player this year with a 97 pace stat, backed up by 97 acceleration and 97 sprint speed. The French World Cup winner is also one of the joint players with the highest overall rating, with a 91 rating, and arguably is the best on offer. Add to this great physical and shooting stats, and he is near impossible to stop.

He will set you back currency in any mode, though. He is currently the most expensive player on the Ultimate Team transfer market, but this is expected for the former cover star of the series. However, as the fastest player in EA Sports FC 25, Mbappe is worth the money.
