MICHAEL CARRICK has made four Middlesbrough changes for today’s home game against Luton Town.
In a surprise move, the Boro boss has opted to leave Tommy Conway and Riley McGree on the bench despite the pair having impressed in Tuesday’s win at QPR.
Emmanuel Latte Lath, who scored as a second-half substitute at Loftus Road, returns to the starting line-up to replace Conway in attack.
Delano Burgzorg is also back in Boro’s starting side, and is expected to slot in on the left-hand side in place of McGree.
There is an enforced change in Boro’s backline, with Neto Borges unavailable because of the illness issue that forced him off at QPR.
Luke Ayling will switch across to left-back, with Anfernee Dijksteel returning to the starting side on the right of the back four.
Carrick’s final change comes in midfield, with Hayden Hackney returning from suspension to replace Jonny Howson, who drops down to the substitutes’ bench.
MIDDLESBROUGH (4-2-3-1): Dieng; Dijksteel, Edmundson, Clarke, Ayling; Morris, Hackney; Doak, Azaz, Burgzorg; Latte Lath.
Subs: Brynn, Barlaser, Fry, McGree, Jones, Howson, Hamilton, Conway, McCormick.
