Heading into Week 10’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road at Raymond James Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers were hoping to take another step closer to getting back on track as one of the best teams in the NFC.
Fortunately, the 49ers were able to finally get superstar running back Christian McCaffrey back on the field on Sunday in Tampa Bay, which is a massive boost for this offense that has had to play without him for their first eight games of the 2024 campaign.
Although the 49ers were able to get the win over Baker Mayfield and company to go above .500 with a record of 5-4, San Francisco had its fair share of struggles on Sunday, which seemed to boil over on the sideline, with versatile wide receiver Deebo Samuel going at long snapper Taybor Pepper via Dov Kleiman.
Holy Sh*t Deebo going at the long snapper’s throat.

Even though the 49ers were able to win this game and got some decent production out of McCaffrey in his return to the field with 107 all-purpose yards, Samuel physically attacking Pepper isn’t a great look and will lead to questions if there is some internal beef brewing in the locker room in San Francisco.
It has been a rough year for the 49ers which has been marred by injuries, so the last thing this team needs is something like this between players, as that can boil over quickly and impact the play on the field.
It’ll be interesting to see how this altercation gets addressed by head coach Kyle Shanahan and whether Samuel becomes a problem for the team moving forward.
