Manchester United will welcome Leicester to Old Trafford again on Sunday afternoon.

United comfortably defeated Leicester 5-2 in the Carabao Cup last week and the two sides will meet again in the Premier League in the final game before the international break.

The match will be Ruud van Nistelrooy’s last in charge as interim boss and the Dutchman will be desperate to end that spell on a high after overseeing three games undefeated.

Steve Cooper rotated his Leicester side for the Carabao Cup clash. The Foxes are expected to be at full strength this weekend but are still the bookmakers’ huge underdogs.

Regarding the team news, Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen and Antony all returned to the squad against PAOK and will be involved again after overcoming their respective injuries.

There is also an outside chance that Leny Yoro will be included in the squad after taking part in training this week.

This is how our writers think United should line up…

Tyrone Marshall

The big question for this team is whether Amad is fit to start. United are working hard to get him ready in time but Thursday was his first start in five weeks and it won’t be prudent not to take any risks. Garnacho and Rashford can start on the wings and Hojlund has to go again through the middle, but he desperately needs a goal.

Further back, Dalot and Mazraoui will start at full-back but the former is really struggling at the moment. United need more options in those positions. De Ligt and Martinez will return after being rested in midweek.

Ugarte was signed to replace Casemiro, but the two are dovetailing quite nicely at the moment and should do so again, with Eriksen and Mount waiting in the wings to open the game up. Fernandes plays as the No. 10.

Steven Railston

Dalot’s performance against PAOK went under the radar because United kept a clean sheet but he wasn’t very good again and needs to be given a consistent run of starts on the right side.

De Ligt and Martinez should be recalled, the midfield from the Chelsea game should stay the same – the options are limited – and Amad must start after his excellent midweek display.

Erik ten Hag reduced Amad’s involvement in the last few weeks of his tenure and the youngster responded to that disappointment by producing a man-of-the-match performance. Garnacho looks like he could do with a rest and should be benched to make room for Amad.
