After three straight wins against teams the Pittsburgh Steelers were expected to beat, Mike Tomlin’s squad headed into Week 10’s matchup with the Washington Commanders, knowing they were facing a very good opponent playing at a very high level right now.
Ultimately, the Steelers were able to come out on top, winning their fourth straight game while maintaining their lead in the AFC North division standings and showing the rest of the league that the storied franchise might be back to form as a legitimate Super Bowl title contender.
Although there have been questions as to whether the Steelers can continue to win games with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson under center, Pittsburgh showed they likely have the right man under center moving forward, as a savvy move helped the team get the win on Sunday on the road at Northwest Stadium.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III took to his X account after the win for Pittsburgh to give high praise to the one-time Super Bowl champion for his savvy move in getting a Commanders player to jump offsides to seal the win.

With this win over the Commanders, the Steelers have improved to 7-2 on the season and appear to be a legitimate threat in the AFC, with the team firing on all cylinders at the right time as they’ll face the division-rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 in a crucial divisional matchup.
Next week’s game against the Ravens will be a measuring stick game for the Steelers, which will have big division implications.
