The New England Patriots have received great news as they come off their road win over the Chicago Bears and prepare to face the Los Angeles Rams.
Veteran defensive tackle and former second-round pick Christian Barmore, who has been dealing with blood clots, is likely to practice Thursday for the first time since he was diagnosed (via NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport).
“A feel-good story for New England,” Rapoport wrote on social media Thursday morning.

The former national champion and All-SEC player out of Alabama is integral to this Patriots defense.
In 44 career games played, he has 12.5 career sacks, 32 career quarterback hits, and 18 career tackles for loss.
His 2023 season was his most impressive one, as he recorded career highs in sacks (8.5), total tackles (64), tackles for loss (13), and quarterback hits (16).
After he showed up and showed out in 2023, he was given a four-year extension worth up to $92 million.
Still just 25 years of age, Barmore has his whole career ahead of him.
Now, it is great to see him back on the field.
All injuries are scary, but blood clots can sometimes be way more serious than any broken bone or torn-up ligament.
Patriots fans should be happy to see No. 90 back in the fold and progressing toward playing again.
Jerod Mayo’s team might be 3-7, but they are an exciting 3-7 team to watch.
They have beaten Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers this season, and rookie quarterback Drake Maye has shown signs of greatness.
The future could be pretty bright up in Foxborough.
