The hololive virtual YouTuber currently boasts over a billion video views on her official channel with 2.52 million subscribers (as of Nov. 15). While mainly active on the video sharing platform, the “Stellar Stellar” artist continues to captivate fans around the world with her prowess as a vocalist through various media including concerts and music programs. Her 2024 smash hit, “BIBBIDIBA,” ranked No. 19 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 chart. From 2023 to 2024, the first exhibition of Midnight Grand Orchestra — Hoshimachi’s music project with sound producer Taku Inoue — entitled MIDNIGHT MISSION was held at PARCO in Ikebukuro, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
The “SPECIAL IN YOU.” advertisement was filmed at SUPER DOMMUNE — Japan‘s first livestreaming studio that has streamed over 7,000 programs over the past 14 years — located on the ninth floor at Shibuya PARCO. In the released visuals, Hoshimachi talks about what is special to her, as the virtual star continues to take on the challenges of creating a new era through her work such as being the first VTuber to perform at an outdoor music festival and surprising passersby on the streets of Shibuya with an unannounced live performance.
Hoshimachi’s latest song “AWAKE,” released Nov. 15, is being featured in the promo video. A special program is scheduled to be streamed from SUPER DOMMUNE, hosted by Naohiro Ukawa.
