The 2024 season has not gone well for the New York Jets.
Even though they are 3-7 and on the very fringes of the playoff picture in the AFC, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich is set in stone on the team wanting quarterback Aaron Rodgers back next season.
“Absolutely … I would love for him to get an opportunity to play healthy football and see what that looks like for an entire season,” Ulbrich said, via Jets Videos.

The Jets have had a roller-coaster season.
They finally got Rodgers back healthy, but a poor start to the season resulted in the firing of head coach Robert Saleh.
Since then, the Jets have continued to play inconsistent football on both sides.
Now, when it comes to Rodgers, there has been some rust for the four-time MVP, who has a passer rating of 86.8.
However, he has had to battle through multiple injuries since the start of the season, as well as multiple coaching changes on the offensive staff.
Plus, his performance in the second half of a comeback victory against the Houston Texans a few weeks ago is proof that he still has plenty of talent and ability left in the tank.
If Rodgers plans on coming back next season, and regardless of whether or not the Jets make the playoffs this year, the team needs to make strides down the stretch so they can gain momentum for next season.
With plenty of quality head coaching candidates available this offseason, the right hire, combined with Rodgers’ ability, could help bring this team back.
