Reading have already sold out their ticket allocation for when they face Wycombe Wanderers next month.

The Royals visit Adams Park on December 7 in what will be the first meeting between the two clubs since the Chairboys unsuccessfully tried to purchase their Bearwood Training Ground in March.

Since then, Wanderers have acquired the facilities at Harlington in Hayes, which used to belong to five-time Premier League champions, Chelsea.

Additionally, ex-Wycombe chairman Rob Couhig, who sold his 90 per cent skate of the club in May to the Georgian-Kahakaztian billionaire Mikhail Lomtadze, tried to purchase Reading in the summer from disgraced owner Dai Yongge to no avail.

The clash in less than a month will see 1,848 Reading fans enter the Hillbottom Road venue.

Tickets for the match were made available on Tuesday [November 12] to season ticket holders and sold out within 72 hours.

Last season, Adams Park was the scene of exuberant celebrations for Reading as they picked up their first away victory in the league for 378 days, winning 2-1 last November.

Former Wanderer, Lewis Wing, scored Reading’s winner.

However, Wycombe got revenge four months later when a stunning Nigel Lonwijk overhead kick, and a last-minute penalty by Bez Lubala gave the Chairboys their inaugural win away at Reading.

Geographically, this is the closest opponent for both clubs in League One this season.

The match on December 7 will kick-off at 3pm.
