The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t had much to be happy about this season, so they’ll take any piece of good news they can get.
Even though things are very tough for the team right now, there are reasons to be excited about the future.
For example, their rookie star Jared McCain is playing very well.
As noted by StatMuse, McCain leads rookies in points, three-pointers, and free throws.
And he’s just fifth in assists too.
McCain is doing it all and playing like a true talent, so what’s next for him?

The former Duke star is averaging 13.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game so far, shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from the three-point line.
He’s only started in one game this season and is making a name for himself as a reliable bench player, giving the 76ers much-needed depth.
This year’s Rookie of the Year race will be very interesting.
A lot of analysts were disappointed in the 2024 draft class and some of the players that came out of it haven’t delivered.
But McCain has and he’s giving the 76ers something to be optimistic about.
Still, the team is in a very bad position right now with a 2-9 record.
That means they are currently the 14th team in the East and their chances of going to the playoffs, at least right now, are out of reach.
There is still a belief that they will be able to climb much higher in the standings if they remain healthy.
Hope is not completely lost for the Sixers, especially if they keep receiving great output from McCain.
