Brandon Graham’s farewell season with the Philadelphia Eagles appeared set in stone, a natural conclusion for the veteran linebacker.

When Graham took the field for the 2024 season opener in Brazil, he etched his name in Eagles history as the franchise’s longest-tenured player.

Yet his performance this season, particularly in the Week 11 victory against the Washington Commanders, suggests there might be more chapters left in his story.

In the aftermath, Graham recently cast some doubt on this being his final season.

“Well, you know what man? This what I will say, let me just get through the year. Then we’ll talk about it,” Graham said with a laugh, via Zach Gelb. “… One thing I know is when I call it quits, it’s gone forever. So this the last level, that’s what we talk about. This the last level you could get to in football. So for me, I’m gonna make sure that I go out in a big way, hopefully we holding that trophy.”

Graham’s aspirations remain clear: He yearns to hoist the Lombardi Trophy one more time, which would be a perfect way to conclude his NFL journey.

But after posting four total tackles, with two tackles for loss, against the Commanders on “Thursday Night Football,” he may be reconsidering that plan.

This contemplation marks a shift from March when Graham signed a one-year deal with the Eagles, declaring his 15th NFL season would be his last, and he had maintained that stance since the first day of training camp.

One aspect remains certain: His retirement, whenever it comes, will be in Philadelphia’s colors.

Since being selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Graham has devoted his entire career to Philadelphia, amassing impressive numbers: 485 total tackles, 75.5 sacks and 22 forced fumbles across 205 regular season games.

As this season progresses, Graham’s legacy in Philadelphia continues to grow, leaving fans and teammates wondering if this truly marks the end of an era for one of the franchise’s most beloved players.
