Bolton Rugby Club’s Under-14s secured a hard-fought victory against Bury, winning 12-10 in a gripping away match.
Both teams grappled with wet conditions, leading to frequent scrums and handling errors.
Bury took an early 3-0 lead through a penalty kick, and despite Bolton’s strong tackling and passing sequences, they struggled to break through in the first half.
Bolton came out stronger in the second half. Early on, Saxon scored an impressive try in the corner, bringing Bolton into the lead.
Harrison B followed with another try, which Luka S converted, extending Bolton’s advantage to 12-3.
Strong defensive efforts and great game management by Dan and Tristan kept Bolton ahead.
But in the final minutes, Bury pushed deep into Bolton’s half, eventually scoring a converted try that closed the gap to 12-10.
It was tense but Bolton held firm, securing the win.
