Jake Paul has teased that his outfit to face Mike Tyson in their blockbuster bout has cost $1million (£792,000) – becoming the most expensive fight attire in history.
The 27-year-old is looking to add a defeat on the veteran heavyweights record as he steps foot into the ring for his first professional fight in almost 20 years. Tyson, 58, however will be hoping he can upset to the bookmakers and hand the YouTuber-turned-boxer his second career deal.
Paul suffered the only blemish on his 11 professional record, coming against Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury during their bout in Saudi Arabia in 2023. Before the pair touched gloves, it was declared that the fight was the highest ever grossing bout in Texas, beating the 2021 encounter between Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders.

The revenue generated also saw Paul and Tyson become the highest grossing fight outside of Las Vegas with only Conor McGregor’s showdown with Eddie Alvarez bettering it.
During a podcast appearance on TalkTuah, the 27-year-old revealed that his outfit is record-breaking but remained coy on his entrance.
“This outfit that I’ve made for the fight is the most expensive fight outfit in the history of boxing,” he said. “It’s $1million, it cost a pretty penny and it is very shiny, that’s the hints that I will give.
“For the walkout, I’m going to be driving in a certain vehicle to the ring, and the rest you’re going to have to wait and see. The song is kind of relating to Mike Tyson’s career and a film that he did.”
Ahead of the fight, a counterfeit script detailing Friday night’s fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is circulating on social media. The leaked script suggests that Paul will land the knockout blow in round five.
It was claimed: “He [Paul] delivers a sharp three-punch combo that forces Tyson back against the ropes. As Tyson attempts to dodge, Paul lands a powerful right hand perfectly timed, striking him squarely on the chin.
“Tyson’s legs give way and he falls to the canvas. The referee commences the count, but despite Tyson’s fighting spirit, he fails to beat the ten count.”
