Many Helldivers 2 players prefer Terminid missions over Automatons primarily because dealing with bugs can be easier on most difficulty levels. Unfortunately, it seems like that will soon not be the case as we’ve got hints that Terminids are no longer mindlessly attacking Helldivers, but they are using clever strategies to take down Super Earth’s fearless soldiers.
Helldivers 2 is making a strong comeback as players are satisfied with the recent updates from Arrowhead Game Studios. The game was a massive hit when it was initially released but gamers soon got bored of the concept, plus Arrowhead’s efforts to add new content failed to amuse the community. Finally, the studio is heading down the right path as the game’s active player count is looking good again.

A viral post on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit shows that a Terminid Shrieker stalled a Helldiver until a Hellbomb was dropped. It appears like Terminids are finally understanding Super Earth’s strategy. The rest of the community is also speculating that Terminids might be learning.

It’s no secret that Super Earth has been exploiting Terminids for quite some time now. It seems like the faction is preparing for a big war against Super Earth. We’ve got hints about the existence of Hive Lords in the game, but so far, they’ve not appeared on the battlefield. Things will get far more chaotic the day these units come out of hiding.
Helldivers 2 Needs Some Fresh Content
After the poor reception of Helldivers 2‘s first major update, Escalation of Freedom, Arrowhead decided to change its strategy. The game lost a major chunk of its player base due to nerfs and disappointing updates. The studio then carefully analyzed players’ feedback to improve the game.
The recent updates have been a hit among the community as Arrowhead has buffed many fan-favorite weapons and Stratagems like Flamethrower and Railgun. For now, players are satisfied but the game still needs some new content to maintain a steady active player count.
What the game really needs is a new enemy faction and Arrowhead has been teasing the invasion of the Illuminate for many months now. The Illuminate, a race of super-advanced psychic aliens, was a part of the first Helldivers game. The Illuminate was said to be extinct after the first game. However, the formation of the black hole in the place of Meridia has convinced the community that Illuminate will use it to start its invasion.
