Spoiler Alert !!!
This article contains spoilers from Solo leveling manhwa.
As the protagonist of Solo Leveling, Sung Jin Woo is one of the most formidable characters in the entire manhwa universe. From a low-ranking E-rank Hunter to ascending as the Shadow Monarch, his journey is nothing short of legendary. His reputation as an unstoppable fighter has been solidified by his conflicts with other Monarchs, Rulers, and Hunters.
However, in the vast Solo Leveling universe, there are still a few beings who could rival or even surpass Sung Jin Woo under the right circumstances. On the flip side, some characters, despite their strength, would be utterly defeated if they dared to challenge him.
So, let’s now explore three of the powerhouses who might stand a chance against Sung Jin Woo and three who should never consider stepping into the arena with him.
3 Solo Leveling Entities Who May Beat Sung Jin Woo
1. Absolute Being
The Absolute Being exists as the ultimate entity in the Solo Leveling universe. His godlike powers allow him to manipulate the very fabric of reality, making him an unparalleled force of nature. The Absolute Being’s omnipotence surpasses even the combined might of the Rulers and Monarchs.
However, despite his immense power, the Absolute Being is somewhat incapable of using his full extent of power, which results in getting killed by the Rulers. But It’s safe to say that Sung Jin Woo would probably struggle against such overwhelming cosmic power if it unleashes its full potential as he could operate on a level beyond mortal comprehension.
2. AshbornÂ
As the original Shadow Monarch, Ashborn stands as the pinnacle of strength within the Solo Leveling universe. Ashborn’s mastery over death and shadows rivals even the combined power of the Rulers.
Even though Jin Woo has embraced his new role as Shadow Monarch to the fullest, Ashborn would probably still have an advantage due to his expertise and command of the same powers. Ashborn’s strategic skill and profound knowledge of shadow manipulation may possibly defeat Jin Woo in a hypothetical combat between them.
3. Antares
One of the most formidable foes in Solo Leveling is Antares, the Monarch of Destruction. He is a dangerous opponent due to his army of dragons and his devastating powers.
While Jin Woo might have defeated Antares in their climactic battle, it was a difficult battle and Jin Woo only could win thanks to the Rulers’ intervention.
In a one-on-one fight without external interference, Antares could possibly claim victory, especially if he caught Jin Woo off guard or at a moment of weakness.
3 Solo Leveling Beings Who Would Most Likely Be Defeated By Sung Jin Woo
1. Â Baran
The Monarch of White Flames, Baran, is far from being a match for Sung Jin Woo in Solo Leveling. During their battle, Jin-Woo easily overpowered Baran’s clone; killing him for good by tearing off his left arm and using all of his strength to smash him in the jaw.
Baran is most probably the weakest Monarch by far, fire-based abilities and leadership are pale in comparison to Jin Woo’s mastery over shadows and his nearly limitless army. Any attempt by Baran to challenge Jin-Woo would end in swift defeat, making him an unworthy contender.
2. Thomas Andre
One of the National Level Hunters, Thomas Andre is celebrated as a titan of strength among humans. Before Sung Jin Woo came into the picture, he was considered the most powerful hunter in Solo Leveling. However, against Jin Woo, the Goliath was at a complete disadvantage.
Despite putting up a tough fight, the difference in power between Jin Woo and Thomas was evident during their confrontation, where Jin Woo’s superior speed, tactics, and shadow-based powers were taking the lead over his skills like Spiritual Body Manifestation. Any rematch would likely end the same way, with Jin Woo stealing the spotlight.
3. RakanÂ
Rakan, the Beast Monarch in Solo Leveling, is known for his feral strength, predatory instincts, and dirty tactics. However, despite his animalistic ferocity which contributed to his victory over S-Class Hunters like Thomas Andre, Rakan proved to be no match for Jin Woo’s tactical brilliance and shadow army.
Jin Woo’s ability to overpower Rakan in battle highlights just how wide the gap is between them. Any subsequent challenge from Rakan would end in humiliation and utter defeat.
While beings like the Absolute Being, Ashborn, and Antares could potentially rival Sung Jin Woo under the right conditions, Jin Woo’s victories against foes like Baran, Thomas Andre, Rakan, and many others demonstrate his unparalleled dominance.
His transformation into the Shadow Monarch solidifies his position as one of the most powerful entities in the Solo Leveling universe. Although there would be definitely more powerful beings than him in the universe, his resilience, determination, and strategic brilliance in addition to his abilities would give him the ultimate advantage.
Solo Leveling is currently available to read and watch on Webtoon and Crunchyroll, respectively.
