Katt Williams, Who Has Been Warning us About P Diddy’s Parties For Years, Feels Offended Because of SNL

With celebrity hosts, sketch comedies, and musical performances all packed into one incredibly unpredictable package, Saturday Night Live is the ultimate rollercoaster that has been running for decades. However, despite its popularity, not everyone is going to find it amusing, including Katt Williams, who recently called out the show and did not hold any punches.

Katt Williams really kicked off 2024 with his almost 3-hour-long Club Shay Shay interview where he and the host discussed everything from his outburst on Wanda Smith’s radio show to his statements about Diddy that aged like fine wine. It didn’t take long for Saturday Night Live to turn it into a parody and now, Katt Williams has finally reacted to it all.

Saturday Night Live and Katt Williams sure have a history thanks to the show parodying the comedian time and again for laughs. However, despite their interest in Williams, he has never been invited to the show even once.

Williams made an appearance on Club Shay Shay which ultimately turned out to explode on social media for more reasons than one. For starters, he mentioned the infamous Diddy parties stating,

I’ve had to turn down 50 million four times. Four times. Just to protect my integrity and that virgin hole I was telling you about because P. Diddy be wanting to party, and you gotta tell him no. You got to tell him no. I did. I got the receipts for everything I’m telling you.

The episode was released on the YouTube channel on January 03 this year and not even 20 days later, SNL was ready with its parody.

First things first; we need to give credit where credit is due. From the set to Shannon Sharpe and Williams’ outfits to their mannerisms, the show nailed everything down to the T.

Actress Ego Nwodim played the role of Williams in the parody and Sharpe was parodied by Devon Walker. The video poked fun at the highly controversial interview with statements from Nwodim (as Williams) like, “Three things about me. I’m 5’3, I have never told a lie, and I am 6’3.”

During another moment in the parody, Nwodim says, “How are you gonna challenge me, Shannon? I’m the one who invented fruit…before me, trees wasn’t bringing nothing to the table.” Needless to say, SNL didn’t hold back when it came to the parody.

Katt Williams Isn’t Too Pleased with the Parody

Comedy and parody go hand-in-hand but Williams is having none of it. The comedian sat down at the Vulture Festival to discuss innumerable topics including his upcoming Heaven on Earth tour and presidential politics.

At one point during the event, Williams got candid about his opinion on SNL’s parody of him and Sharpe. First off, he called out the show for impersonating him a total of nine times but not inviting him on even once. Yikes.

While this may seem a little unfair, William wears this fact as a badge of honor. In his own words,

There has never been a person that has been parodied nine times on ’Saturday Night Live’ and yet never been invited other than me. So, I, at this point, take it as a badge of honor that they don’t f*ck with me.

He then talked about Nwodim impersonating him in the parody and came to the conclusion that SNL having a woman playing him meant that they see him as a “b*tch.”

A lot of times, when people are doing an impression of you, they’re really showing you how they feel about you. So, for ‘Saturday Night Live’ to have an impression of me and have a woman do that, it means they think I’m a b*tch. And I understand that that’s what they’re saying when they do that.

In the end, Williams claimed that he wasn’t bothered by SNL‘s sketch at all, despite his earlier statements.

Fans of the show found the video to be quite funny with one commenting, “This should be nominated for an Emmy. Perfection,” and another stating, “This is the funniest I’ve seen on Saturday Night Live in a very, very long time.” What do you think about the video?

Saturday Night Live is available to watch on Peacock Premium.
