The Kansas City Chiefs had an opportunity to bring their record to 10-0 in their game against the Buffalo Bills this week.
This game was said to be a back-and-forth matchup, and it certainly provided the level of excitement that fans hoped for.
At times, it felt like the Chiefs were going to pull away and find a way to win, but the Bills ended up pulling it out in the end.
The play that sealed the game for the Bills was a Josh Allen touchdown run on fourth down, which put the Bills up two scores with limited time for Patrick Mahomes to put on a show.
This loss might have exposed a few holes on both sides of the ball for the Chiefs, but they still are on track for the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
While it might have been hard to see or recognize at the moment, Tony Romo presented a potential positive to this loss via the NFL on CBS.
“If they had wrapped up the number one seed so early, there’s a chance they wouldn’t have played their best football in the playoffs,” Romo said.

In Romo’s mind, losing helps keep the Chiefs competitive for the rest of the regular season, forcing them to play hard until the playoffs.
If they coasted by without a loss, or without being challenged during the regular season, they could possibly be met with a rude awakening in the postseason.
