Every season, it seems that one NBA conference plays better than the other and that is definitely true this year.
According to Nick Angstadt, 11 of the top 15 teams in the NBA right now are in the Western Conference.
They include the Golden State Warriors, leading the way with 10-2, and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, and more.
That’s an impressive accomplishment but the best team in the league is the Eastern Conference’s Cleveland Cavaliers and they have a flawless 15-0.

The West is definitely stronger in many ways and that is not surprising considering how the last few years have gone.
The teams in the West have been slowly but steadily making trades, acquiring draft assets, and adding better players.
Meanwhile, the East has been doing the same thing but it just hasn’t paid off yet.
There are plenty of great teams in the Eastern Conference, but some of them need a few more years before they are truly delivering on all their potential.
Right now, the Cavaliers and Boston Celtics are the top teams in their conference and there is a good chance they could go all the way to the Finals.
Meanwhile, the battle for the top team in the West might end up being absolutely brutal if things remain the same.
There is still a lot of time for Eastern teams to improve and take more spots on this list, but, for now, the West is reigning supreme.
