Typically assured defensively and contributed to the transitions too. Cleared an effort off the line at a decisive time.
Ben Cabango 7
Slotted into the back line really well. Good on the ball and a real presence in the air too.
Joe Rodon 7
A solid outing on his 50th appearance for Wales. Made a couple of really important tackles.
Ben Davies (c) 7
Similarly solid. Another good outing for the skipper.
Daniel James 7
Didn’t always have the end product, but his pace really stretched Iceland. At the heart of the second goal. Subbed.
Liam Cullen 9 – STAR MAN
Scored twice. Bagged two assists. Might well be the best game he’s had for club or country. Simply sensational.
Josh Sheehan 7
Once again did the ugly stuff with little fuss in the middle. Subbed.
Harry Wilson 8
Took his goal brilliantly. Not always tidy in possession, but constantly wanted the ball and worked his socks off all night.
Brennan Johnson 9
As above in many ways. Was also impressive out of possession too. No Wales played made more tackles. One of his best Wales performances. Subbed.
Mark Harris 7
Played his part in the second goal, and executed the press really well. A useful contribution. Subbed.
