To say things aren’t going well for the Philadelphia 76ers would be a major understatement.
The team is in shambles, currently holding a 2-11 record and sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
To make matters even worse, there seems to be some in-fighting occurring within the team.
According to a report from Shams Charania, via NBACentral, Tyrese Maxey recently “challenged” Joel Embiid because of his tendency to be late.
Charania wrote:
“In the meeting, Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time to team activities, calling out the former league MVP about being late ‘for everything’ and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff, sources briefed on the meeting told ESPN.”
Tyrese Maxey reportedly called out Joel Embiid for always being late 😳, per @ShamsCharania

This doesn’t sound good at all.
The team already has enough problems with injuries and their troubled track record.
If they are fighting with one another on top of all that, that suggests a very rough road ahead for the rest of the season.
Maxey has come into his own over the last few years, partly because he has had to pick up the slack so often during Embiid’s many absences.
Now that Embiid is back, most of the time, Maxey wants to see him lead and act like the MVP he was.
Fans and analysts have grown impatient with Embiid because he continues to get hurt and inconsistency keeps being a problem.
Everyone on the team wants to win and they wish this year will be the one when they finally prove themselves.
But that won’t happen unless they can remain healthy and, of course, get along better.
