Urahara wasn’t the Only Bleach Character Who Would have Left Aizen Weak in His Knees and Tite Kubo Already Confirmed Who

From the moment Aizen’s true plans and personality were revealed, everyone became more conscious of him in Bleach. Every fight he engaged in showed us what he was capable of. Many fans believe that Urahara is among the few characters who could truly challenge Aizen. Similar to Aizen, it’s hard to understand Urahara. He knows more about Soul Society than most people.

His perceptive abilities allow him to stay a step ahead of his opponents. Aizen’s manipulation and his superiority complex could only be battled by Urahara’s antics and intellect. However, there was one more character who could shake Aizen to his core and Tite Kubo confirmed it himself.

Tite Kubo Confirmed Why Aizen Actively Avoided Fighting Unohana

Aizen was always a menace in Bleach, he didn’t even flinch before taking on the strongest Soul Reaper, Head Captain Yamamoto. However, there was one time when Aizen showed reluctance to engage in a battle with Unhonana, right before he challenged Yamamoto.

It makes one wonder if Unohana is stronger than Aizen. If that were the case, it would be more of a reason for Aizen to defeat her. Once Tite Kubo was asked about this situation in Bleach, he confirmed that while Unohana might not be able to defeat him, the match-up would completely exhaust Aizen.

I don’t think he felt he couldn’t win, but he was certain he would be exhausted if he had to fight her.

Unohana was a powerhouse with her strength and her knowledge. She was known for the murders she had committed over the years to gain the title of ‘Kenpachi’. During her fight against Zaraki, we saw how her healing ability could draw out her battles longer in her favor, as she had the ultimate defense. Except for Kyōka Suigetsu, Unohana could have defeated Aizen.

But with his Shikai in the picture, the battle becomes one-sided fairly quickly. Although Aizen would win, Unohana would not go down without landing substantial damage. Aizen was probably aware of this as well. He knew that if had to fight Unohana, his plan would be significantly delayed. This is probably the reason why he chose to steer clear of Unohana.

Unohana is easily one of the best female characters in Bleach. The ruthlessness of a murderer and the compassion of a medic complement and contrast each other quite well. There’s nothing she can’t do. Seeing her overpower Zaraki was oddly satisfying. Her past and her legends made her more intriguing as a character. We didn’t see as much of her as some other captains, but she enjoys prominence for her menacing personality.

It wasn’t just brute strength but the precision that was a result of her extensive knowledge. However, the conclusion of her character arc was one of the best scenes in the series. Her last fight was a visual treat and exciting through and through. After reminiscing about her powers, the Aizen vs Unohana match becomes all the more compelling.
