The Dallas Cowboys have received a lot of media attention this year, but not necessarily for the right reasons.
After their disappointing first-round playoff exit in 2023, many fans and analysts expected them to bounce back, hungry for another chance to avenge this loss.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys, they haven’t found a way to get back on track, and they currently hold a 3-7 record.
There are several reasons why the team is struggling, but many people point to Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy as their two biggest issues.
McCarthy was seemingly on the chopping block last year, but Jerry Jones kept him around, believing things could be different in 2024.
Since they are effectively out of the playoff hunt through 11 weeks, it would be a surprise to see McCarthy as this team’s head coach again next year.
There has been a call for a new head coach, and Colin Cowherd recently came up with a new coach-quarterback combination he believes will work, as he mentioned in a recent segment of “The Herd.”
“I would go get Deion Sanders. I would pick Shedeur Sanders. If I had to give up Micah Parsons and three firsts, I would do it,” Cowherd said.

Shedeur Sanders has been one of the best college football quarterbacks this year, and many believe he’ll have an easy transition to the pros.
If the Cowboys are in a position to draft him, Cowherd believes it’ll be a natural fit, as he could take over for Prescott, hopefully getting coached by his father.
Will Jerry Jones make a move of this magnitude given his track record?
