The Cincinnati Bengals’ record is 4-7, which is disappointing despite star quarterback Joe Burrow’s excellent performance.
Legendary NFL quarterback and current Fox broadcaster Tom Brady discussed the team on the Let’s Go podcast with host Jim Gray.
“I love receivers that can go for 125, 150. But I also love guys that can block in field goal protection too,” Brady said.

Brady is illustrating here that teams can always have great individual play, but it doesn’t necessarily matter if not everyone does their job.
Joe Burrow and Pro Bowl wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase could be the best quarterback-wide receiver duo in the league.
However, their defense has not performed up to the team’s standard.
Cincinnati’s defense has performed worse more often than its offense has performed great.
That is not the best recipe for success in this league.
Brady also cited what happened with the Chicago Bears this past week as an example of being unable to play complimentary football.
The Bears could have beaten the rival Green Bay Packers for the first time in 10 tries, but they got a possible game-winning field goal blocked.
They did everything well enough to earn the win, but they couldn’t put the nail in Green Bay’s coffin.
That is why they are sitting at a disappointing record of 4-6.
The best teams in this league do everything well, or they play well in multiple phases.
Both the Bengals and the Bears have shown anything but that this season.
