The Major League Baseball season is over, and the attention has now been switched toward the free agent class of this offseason.
With several big-name starting pitchers available, including Blake Snell, Corbin Burnes, Max Fried and Roki Sasaki, there are plenty of options for teams to pursue.
Fried is one of those star pitchers who could potentially be joining a new team in 2025, and MLB analysts Todd Frazier and A.J. Pierzynski predicted where he will land if he doesn’t return to the Atlanta Braves.
“Baltimore Orioles,” Frazier said, via Foul Territory. “… I think Corbin Burnes is not gonna be an Oriole. I think they’re gonna need some pitching, and I think Max Fried can easily slip in there and be the No. 1 guy.”

Pierzynski has a different destination in mind.
“The Red Sox,” Pierzynski said, mimicking a Boston accent. “… They need a good left-handed starter. They got all these righty guys. They need a good lefty starter.”

Fried came into the league in 2017 and has pitched all eight seasons of his MLB career with the Braves.
In 2024, Fried started 29 games and was 11-10 with a 3.25 ERA and 166 strikeouts in 174.1 innings pitched.
While many predictions are made on where free agents will land, there is always the chance that a dark horse team swoops in and signs a player.
Speculation about the free agent class is enough to keep fans’ attention while they await the signings of some of the league’s best players.
