The Philadelphia Eagles have thus far rebounded nicely from their disastrous finish last season, and with an 8-2 record, they’re arguably the second-best team in the NFC behind the Detroit Lions.

In Week 12, the Eagles will travel to play the Los Angeles Rams before they visit the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 13 showdown.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was recently limited in practice because of an ankle injury, but he said it’s all part of a plan.

“Hurts told reporters it’s part of a ‘mini-program’ to be healthy for the stretch run and he’ll fully practice the next two days,” NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero wrote on X.

Hurts has thrown for 2,197 yards and 12 touchdowns through 10 games, but he has completed 69.2 percent of his pass attempts and has run for 417 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The addition of star running back Saquon Barkley, who arrived in the offseason as a free agent, has taken plenty of pressure off Hurts, as well as Philadelphia’s other skill players.

Barkley has run for 1,137 yards and eight touchdowns, and has added 23 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns, and that production has put him among the favorites to win the Offensive Player of the Year award.

On the other side of the football, the Eagles defense has recovered from a rough 2023 and ranks sixth in points allowed per game and first in fewest total yards allowed.

The Eagles reached the Super Bowl two seasons ago, only to lose in heartbreaking fashion to the Kansas City Chiefs, and they’re hoping this is the season they go all the way again.
