Prince Harry has reportedly put his needs above those of his wife, Meghan Markle, according to a body language expert. Harry was “beaming from ear to ear” during a solo appearance in Vancouver, as he and Meghan remain professionally separated.
Prince Harry is currently in Vancouver for Invictus Games events
The Duke of Sussex is currently attending Invictus Games events in Vancouver. Prince Harry founded the paralympic-style competition for wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans.
Body language expert Darren Stanton told GB News that during solo appearances, Prince Harry shows a more confident, relaxed persona. Thus, he believes that the duke can be himself without his wife by his side.
When Harry works alone, Stanton says, “He is completely engaged with what he is doing and who he is meeting. His passion here is incredibly visible, which isn’t surprising given the Invictus Games has a huge place in his heart and is a venture he is extremely dedicated to.”
“Attending alone, we always tend to see the best of Harry when he’s appearing solo. Harry absolutely comes into his own. He’s got this massive smile, he’s beaming from ear to ear, portraying his enjoyment and his happiness,” he continued.
“We know this is authentic and a genuine emotion from him. His whole face is engaged, the crow’s feet at the side of the eyes are there,” Stanton concludes.
Prince Harry is putting his needs above Meghan Markle’s says body language expert
Prince Harry has spent years appearing to publicly protect Meghan Markle. Therefore, he tends to stick by her side during appearances, allowing her to shine.
Darren Stanton finds Harry’s body language is different when he is with Meghan. “We tend to see more of his protective nature than his individual emotion as he puts Meghan‘s feelings above his own.”
However, a more confident Harry emerges when he works solo. Stanton claims that in those instances, Harry is more animated with those he interacts with.
“He’s completely relaxed and focused on what needs to be done. [Harry] can focus on being himself and on interacting with those around him.”
