The Detroit Lions are playing like the best team in the NFL right now, especially on offense.
They just scored 52 points against the poor Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend and aren’t even close to being satisfied as they look to grab that first Super Bowl trophy.
Former NFL quarterback Alex Smith discussed on SiriusXM NFL Radio Friday morning how great this Lions team is.
“They clearly, I think, are the best team in football…They seem to be head and shoulders above all their competition…This could go down as one of the greatest offenses of all-time,” Smith said.

The Lions have put up 20+ points in every game but one this season.
Quarterback Jared Goff is playing like an MVP while repeatedly linking up with star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The team also may have the best running back duo in the game, with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs running the show.
Dan Campbell has instilled a winning, physical culture that the city of Detroit and this organization have been waiting for a long time.
This week, Detroit will travel to face the Indianapolis Colts in a cross-conference matchup that could be a must-win for both teams for different reasons.
The Lions are looking to hold onto the No. 1 seed in the NFC, while the Colts are looking to give themselves a shot at the playoffs.
If Campbell’s team shows up and shows out yet again, the chances of them falling in the postseason could start to look slim.
