How do you unlock the AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle in Black Ops 6 and Warzone? If you’re a sniper rifle fan, then there’s a stone-cold killer coming your way in Black Ops 6 and Warzone by way of the AMR Mod 4. This mid-season unlock is labelled by Treyarch as “the hardest hitting weapon in its class,” and can one-shot kill – even with hits to hands or legs.
Unfortunately, the AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle isn’t yet available in either Black Ops 6 or Warzone, but has been confirmed to arrive during Season 1 as part of one of the seasonal Black Ops 6 events. Potentially set to quickly become one of the best Black Ops 6 weapons, here’s what we know about the AMR Mod 4 so far.
How to unlock the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6 and Warzone
The AMR Mod 4 will be unlocked during Season 1 as an event reward. We don’t yet know what the event will be, but there’s a high chance the sniper rifle will be unlocked during Archie’s Festive Frenzy.
The AMR Mod 4 was officially confirmed as a mid-season event reward in the Black Ops 6 pre-Season 1 blog post. Since it’s not available alongside the BO6 Sirin 9mm, the Hand Cannon, and the Power Drill in the current Hit List event, we can only assume that the sniper rifle will arrive during the Season 1 Reloaded holiday event, Archie’s Festive Frenzy.
The Archie’s Festive Frenzy event is now confirmed in-game as seen in the image above. In addition to the sniper rifle, two Warzone perks are also available during the event, as well as a snowy version of the beloved Nuketown map.
Best BO6 AMR Mod 4 loadout
While the sniper rifle isn’t available in game yet, we can use existing sniper attachments and information on the upcoming gun to theorycraft the best AMR Mod 4 loadout. Given that we know the AMR Mod 4 is going to “reward patience” and is “slow to aim and… kicks hard,” we already know you’re going to want to improve speed and recoil.
With this in mind, we’d probably chuck on the Muzzle Brake for incredible recoil control on your first shot and improved kick reset speed. The Precision Handguard is likely to be another good addition for a reduction to aiming idle sway and horizontal recoil, while we’d also suggest the Commando Grip for a bonus to aim down sights speed. Then, the Fast Mag II wouldn’t hurt just in case you miss that first shot. We’d also consider the Thermal 6x optic as an additional accuracy aid.
