The Golden State Warriors are crafting a remarkable story this season that arguably surpasses their 2022 championship campaign.
In what could be their finest showing of the Curry-Green era, the Warriors have defied age and absence to claim the West’s top spot with an 11-3 record.
Even without Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, the Warriors have emerged as an offensive powerhouse.
They rank third in scoring with 119.6 points per game and join an elite group of teams winning by double-digit margins.
Yet, according to NBA Insider Ramona Shelburne, the Warriors aren’t actively seeking anything major this season.
Speaking on the Willard & Dibs podcast, she revealed, “I do think [the Warriors] are one move away from being seen as a team who can challenge [teams like] Boston…But, my sense is they’re not looking for anything really big during the year.”

What makes their success more impressive is how they’ve overcome their size limitations.
The Warriors have dominated the glass, pulling down 49.1 rebounds per game – good for second in the league.
Their signature ball movement remains unmatched, and their three-point shooting hasn’t missed a beat despite Thompson’s absence.
While their stars have found their rhythm, questions about their championship potential linger.
Still, their current form suggests they’re primed for a serious playoff push in 2025.
Their immediate challenge comes against a depleted New Orleans Pelicans squad.
Having already handled the Pelicans twice recently, Golden State faces a team ravaged by injuries.
With Ingram, McCollum, Zion, Alvarado, Murray, and others sidelined, New Orleans fielded what looked like a pickup team against the Cavaliers.
Unless their injury fortunes change dramatically, the Pelicans appear headed for another difficult night.
