This season has been something of a nightmare for the Philadelphia 76ers, and every time things seem to be turning around, they somehow get worse.
On Friday morning, Keith Pompey reported, via NBACentral, that Joel Embiid did not participate in shootaround with his team and is questionable for Friday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
And with that, this painful season continues for the Sixers.

Embiid has played in only four games this season, averaging 19.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
His health problems have been an issue for years, and this season is no different.
The problem is that Embiid isn’t the only one hurting.
Paul George and Tyrese Maxey—the other two pieces of the team’s big three—have also been injured and missed games.
Meanwhile, recent reporting has shed light on the inner-team drama plaguing the 76ers.
For a number of reasons, things look ugly in Philadelphia.
After an offseason of big moves and a ton of hype, the Sixers have the worst record in the NBA with 2-12.
As it stands now, their chances of reaching the playoffs are completely gone, although that could change.
But that change will require tough work, good luck, and consistent health.
During his four games, Embiid averaged 19.8 points and 7.5 rebounds.
He has been very helpful, but some people have commented on him not playing at 100% like the former MVP he is.
That means whenever he is ready to play again, it might take some time before he’s moving smoothly and has his rhythm back.
Following Friday night’s game, the 76ers will play the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Detroit Pistons in the week ahead.
Will Embiid be ready to play in any of those matches?
