Swindon Town will be taking on Wycombe Wanderers away from home in the Vertu Trophy round of 32.
Swindon will be visiting Adams Park in the first knockout round of the competition, having progressed beyond the group stage following wins against Bristol Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur to see them finish second behind Exeter City.
Wycombe are flying so far this season, sitting top of League One having won their last six in the league, although Swindon did come out on top when the two played each other in pre-season.
The match will be played during the week commencing December 9, in between Town’s home clash with Fleetwood Town and visit to Bradford City in League Two.
This is just the second time that Swindon have progressed beyond the group stages in this competition since they were introduced in 2018, the previous time being in 2021/22 when they lost to Colchester United at this stage.
Having been involved in the competition since 2022, Swindon’s best performance saw them make the final in 2012 under Paolo Di Canio but losing at Wembley against Chesterfield, the team went on to win League Two that season.
