Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has had quite the fall from grace over the last year. Diddy was once the guy everyone wanted to connect with, but now, he’s the one most celebrities are trying to distance themselves from.

But more than 20 years ago, Diddy and ex Jennifer Lopez were one of the celebrity world’s biggest “it” couples. The two dated between 1999 and 2001, and although the relationship did not last, they have been remembered as one of the most iconic duos of early 2000s. That was, until Diddy’s alleged actions were brought to light. (Lopez has yet to comment on the situation.)

These two might not be close anymore, but both have had lucrative careers. Which of them has the higher net worth today?

When Diddy was at the top, he was worth an unbelievable amount of money. Back in 2021, Diddy’s net worth was estimated at $900 million. Outside of music, he’s had a number of successful business ventures, including partnerships with Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila.

And, of course, Diddy was the founder of Bad Boy Records. He’s had a number of high-profile celebrities sign with him, including Faith Evans and Machine Gun Kelley. Between the business deals and the music, Diddy climbed close to becoming a billionaire (and some estimations actually put him there). However, he reportedly lost nearly $300 million between 2023 and 2024 for a variety of reasons, including his legal troubles. By late 2024, the rapper was worth an estimated $600 million, according to Parade.

Jennifer Lopez is worth more than $150 million

Jenny From the Block has certainly built a substantial brand for herself. She stepped onto the music scene in the late 1990s, and her party and dance tunes were instant hits. She continued to build herself into an established actress through the years, too, with roles in films like “The Wedding Planner” and “Maid in Manhattan.” Lopez has launched clothing lines, homewares, and more through the years, though her music and acting seem to be her most lucrative ventures. She’s done a number of collaborations with various brands and designers.

She was tied to Diddy for only two years and went on to date or marry a number of other famous people, including Marc Anthony, Alex Rodriguez, and Ben Affleck. These days, Lopez is worth more than $150 million, according to People.
